Depending on which way you hold these bones you can get 3 different tones. You get the choices of striking the same woods together or a third choice of striking different woods. These are the finest wooden bones we have ever seen. Patterned after a pair of bones given to me by Percy Danforth. Very nicely finished. Boxwood is used in violins and the finest 18th century woodwind instruments.
